dc.description.abstractThis paper presents a uniform clustering approach which aims to cover entire field with identical clusters scattered over the field. The Cluster head is elected using the LEACH protocol for every cluster locally. Both LEACH and I-LEACH (Identical clustering - LEACH) were compared through extensive simulations using NS2 simulator which shows that I-LEACH performs better than LEACH protocol. I-LEACH reduces energy consumption by around 45% and improves the throughput by 60%.en
