dc.description.abstractSiemens manufactures wide variety of steam turbines, SST 200 and SST 300 are the two models in consideration. In order to enhance the capacity of SST 200 model, it is thought of doing so by using SST 300 frame 1 front bearing assembly in SST 200 front bearing casing. SST 200 front bearing casing with existing bearings and loading condition is modelled and analysed for benchmarking. SST 200 front bearing casing is then modi ed to accomodate SST 300 front bearing assembly. The modi ed bearing casing is analysed for mechanical and thermal loads and found suitable for use.en_US
