Abstract: In India, different types of bridges superstructure is constructed such as. I-type, Box-Type. Arch type etc...Depending upon the requirement of bridge, superstructure can be selected. Nowadays, aesthetic view of bridge is very important Generally, in India I-girder and Box girder is used depending upon condition. Development on steel and suspension bridge has been started during last few years. The first chapter includes introduction of bridge and give idea about different types of bridges constructed in India It also covers the literature survey related to analysis and design of badge and static and dynamic analysis of substructure. The second chapter includes steps for carrying out analysis and design of I girder and whole calculation for that on excel sheets. It also covers the quantity details required for section and detailing on auto-cad sheets. The third chapter includes steps for carrying out analysis and design of Box girder and whole calculation for that on excel sheets. It also covers the quantity details required for section and detailing on auto-cad sheets. The fourth chapter includes comparison of above two sections for different span. Conclusion covers which span is economical for particular span. The fifth chapter covers programming of designing of 1 girder in vc , Programme gives area of reinforcement and shear and bending stresses at various sections. It also covers detailing and bar bending scheduling for I section. The Sixth chapter includes static and dynamic analysis of substructure. It gives idea about the analysis procedure for abutments and piers and also use of software for dynamic and static analysis.
