Abstract: The Cleaner Production is defined as “continuous application of an integrated preventive environmental strategy applied to processes, products and services to increase overall efficiency and reduce risks to humans and the environment”. The goal of applying CP is to reduce the generation of waste at source itself, and to apply such measures which ensure enhancement of overall efficiency of the process without compromising environmental regulations. As per the project assigned “Application of CP Tools in Textile Effluent Treatment Plant”. It is entirely a new field for applying CP and work place decided is “Arvind Mills. Applying CP tools such as process modification, equipment modification, technology change, better process control, better management practices, good house keeping or any innovative idea in effluent treatment plant ensure the reduction in energy consumption, chemical consumption or ultimately in operating cost.
