In the present paper, the impedance and the radiation properties of a planar monopole, an EMC triangular planar monopole and an EMC pedestal triangular monopole antennas are discussed. The measured and the simulated return-loss bandwidths of all the three antennas are compared. An ultrawide fractional bandwidth of 64.8% is obtained in case of an EMC pedestal triangular monopole antenna. The performance of all the three antennasis compared and summarized.en_US
