Abstract: This paper presents the review analysis of buck converter with synchronous rectification (SR) technique. SR technique proves to be very useful and efficient with respect to control and synchronization as compare to earlier topologies using schottky diodes. In these techniques MOSFETs are used in place of schottky diodes and hence conduction losses and switching losses are reduced. MOSFETs are more controllable with respect to diodes, in terms of duty cycle and hence variable output. Several key publications on synchronous rectification technique are presented in this paper.
