Abstract: This paper presents Software Implementation of Field Oriented Control of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machine using dsPIC30F4011/6010A. A flux-weakening technique is applied when extension of motor speed beyond the base speed is desired. The Field Oriented Control with its flux/torque decoupling feature is realized with the digital PWM controller in rotating d-q coordinate system .This kind of controller requires relative powerful microcontroller along with the relative peripherals to make the vector control practical proposition. The program of fieldoriented control is successfully built in the MPLAB Emulator and with the c-compiler.
