Coumarins are variety of activity giving substances obtained from tonka beans as plant constituents. Coumarins are established to be showing anti coagulant activity, anti oxidant activity, anti inflammatory activity and anti cancer activitied among them. Here, 3-Carboxamide derivatives of Coumarins are prepared which are proposed to be potential anti inflammatory and analgesic activity. They were prepared using different reactions like knoveageal condensation and sulphonation, hydrolysis reactions and lastly acid and amine were prepared as the main intermediates. They were subsequently coupled with boric acid as a coupling agent. The prepared compounds were performed with infrared spectroscopy and Nucleo Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy(FT-IR,1HNMR) and the results were interpreted. The physico chemical properties were checked and reported. Anti inflammatory and analgesic activity of the prepared compounds were reported and ANNOVA as well as tuckey’s test were performed. The significance levels for the drugs were compared with control and Standard drugs. For Anti inflammatory activity Carragnan Rat Paw edema method was adopted and writhing method was used for analgesic activity.en_US
