dc.description.abstract | A worldwide concern for future access to affordable, sustainable energy is driving the development of more efficient solar power generation. In any photovoltaic (PV) based system, the inverter is a critical component responsible for the control of electricity flow between the module, battery, loads, and power grid. The proposed inverter employs a photovoltaic array, boost converter, a grid tied H-bridge inverter, and passive filter. The main elements of the PV control structure are: - a maximum power point tracker (MPPT) algorithm, phase-locked-loop (PLL), controller of boost converter, and the grid current controller implemented in two different ways. The control scheme for implementing both modes of operation is presented. Using the simulation software PSIM proposed two stage topology with predictive control has been chosen. The performance of three control schemes has been compared. The final simulation has been done using solar array model, which was made in PSIM. It is shown that the unit power factor of ac utility grid and the descent dc link voltage regulation achieved by proposed predictive control strategy.
