Abstract: In any system, Simulation and validation are the key processes to get better con - dence in the design. Simulation provide tools to analyze the behavior of the system in actual circuit conditions before it's placed in the eld. The rigorous validation process also gives better con dence of working section. Both of these processes will be used to prove the design reliability. Oil and Gas production system being exposed to the very critical environment like high temperature and pressure, more noise exposure. If a system is able to handle all these extreme conditions then only system is reliable otherwise it will cause more bizarre results. So, all the equipments/systems should be tested thoroughly before being placed in actual application. This system contains multiple ways of communication interface with equipment placed under the seabed (in O shore system) i.e. Low speed copper modem, High speed modem, Variable speed modem, etc. Full system on the seabed been controlled by these communica- tion modems. These will provide an operator to interact with the bottom side. The failure of such module causes Hazardous e ects, so a part of Validation provides great importance on the future response of the product. This report contains full functional validation and testing of modem section. Validation process comprises direct hard- ware testing by measuring di erent signal on board. It is also supported by software validation of some sections. As a part of improvement in the software validation, re- structuring of code has been made. This generic code can be used in all the common systems. Simulation of System level structure provides ease of modi cation, pros and Cons of new technology without wasting time. It also gives a perfect measurement of modi cations made to the circuit. So that any minor change can be observed from design. This report also explains the simulations of some basic sections which are more common in oil and gas system. Simulations lead to observe an isolated and system level behavior of the sections.
