dc.description.abstract | The project includes Design & Finite Element Analysis of a typical structure compo- nent of injection molding machine. The aim of project is to upgrade the 1000T clamp cylinder from 910T clamp cylinder for injection molding machine. The detail design of existing clamp cylinder of 910T is studied thoroughly .Finite Element analysis is carried out for 910T clamp cylinder in Ansys workbench and the stress values are compared with acceptance criteria and theoretical calculation. The relation between the clamp cylinder diameter and the tonnage capacity has been derived and veri ed for 910T clamp cylinder. The same correlation is used to nd out the diameter for 1000T clamp cylinder. The detail design of 1000T cylinder is to be carried out based on calculated diam- eter.Modeling and FEA is carried out for newly designed 1000T cylinder and to be veri ed with theoretical calculation. | en_US |
