Abstract: ITER has been working with a project of generation of plasma for a long period to produce electricity. To sustain the energy of plasma it is required to be generated in vacuum vessel. The primary functions of the vacuum vessel (VV) are to provide a high quality vacuum for the plasma, as well as the rst con nement barrier of radioactive materials. The vacuum vessel must provide high-quality vacuum , high electrical resistivity and op- erate at high temperature. Vacuum Vessel are generally of two type of shape (1) Circular Vacuum Vessel (2) D-Shape Vacuum Vessel. Modeling and structural analysis of D-shape vacuum vessel is presented under the action of gravity and coolant pressure. Modal analysis of D-shape vacuum vessel is also carried out for seismic.
