Abstract: Mobile networking is becoming ubiquitously deployed, due in large part to the con- vergence of mobile telephony and handheld computing. The applications which are commonly deployed on such devices (e.g. email, web browsing), however, are rarely able to fully exploit the local wireless connectivity(Bluetooth,Wi- ), and instead use it only as a means of acquiring global connectivity via access points.The current commu- nication paradigm has not been designed to take advantage of local and intermittent connectivity. In mobile networking, where mobile devices move between islands of connectivity, having opportunity to transmit packets through their wireless interface or simply carrying the data toward a connectivity island. Networks in these environments are examples of Pocket Switched Networks (PSNs). Pocket Switched Networks (PSN) make use of both human mobility and local/global connectivity in order to transfer data between mobile users' devices. This falls under the Delay Tolerant Networking (DTN) space, focusing on the use of opportunistic networking. One key problem in PSN is optimization of forwarding algorithms which cope with human mobility patterns. So here in this thesis work an assessment of forwarding algorithm is carried out with appropriate mobility model,which captures the behavior of nodes in the real world. We analyzed the BUBBLE Rap: A social based forwarding algorithm with S-Window centrality and Working Day Movement Model (WDM) in ONE simulator. The simulation results shows that a by using S-Window a better performance is achieved as compared to Degree centrality algorithm.
