dc.description.abstract | Mobile Ad-Hoc Network (MANET) is a network formed by the mobile devices without any preinstalled infrastructure. MANET provides a cheap and instantaneous solution to share data among mobile nodes. Nowadays, data hugely comprises of multimedia which is sent to many receivers by a single source. In such scenario when unicast is used, same data is sent as many times as there are receivers, making inept use of network resources. Multicast provides a solution to this problem. It duplicates a data packet only when necessary. But still there is a scope of improvement in current multicast routing protocols. In this work, a cluster based multicast ad hoc on demand vector protocol is proposed which provides an improvement in throughput and reduces control overhead in dense network making it highly scalable. | en_US |
