Abstract: The purpose of this project is to convert solar energy into electrical energy in cost e ective manner so common people can use it easily.Solar energy is a source of non- conventional energy. Today compare to conventional coal, gas and nuclear power generators PV power generation is costly but it is pollution free source to generate electricity. Because of high initial cost it is not used by all people but as the cost of PV system drops more people can use it. With this goal in mind, this project is selected.Solar cell, DC to DC converters, battery, inverter, transformer and lter are the main components of this project.Solar cells convert solar energy into electrical energy in DC form. This DC voltage is boosted by DC to DC boost converter or it is used to charge the battery. This boosted voltage is applied to the inverter which will convert DC voltage into AC voltage.Transformer is used to step up the AC voltage.A low pass lter followed by transformer is used to obtain 230 V, 50 Hz sinusoidal voltage waveform, which is applied to load. This system is powered from solar panel or mains and fed to load that is why it is called hybrid solar inverter. To decrease the cost sinusoidal PWM push-pull inverter topology is used.
