| Abstract: | The potential of energy savings from demand side energy management in particular motor loads are discussed in this paper. This paper is a synthesis of basics of energy efficient motors, requirements of efficiency standards and factors effecting efficient operation of motors. This compilation is targeted in specific, to help the engineers in industry to select the right motors for better energy management and their maintenance aspects. |
