Abstract: Conventional piping stress analysis is performed for checking displacements and stresses coming on different parts of the piping system. Some basic fundamentals are included in the initial chapters for better understanding. Composite analysis is not carried out for all he lines of the refinery but it is only for critical lines and that criticality guidelines are mentioned in the project design data. Isometric drawings, Piping Material Specifications (PMS) and Equipment drawings are the major inputs for this project. Piping, equipments (Heater & Reactor) and structures are modeled in CAESAR II 5.0 piping software, which is customized software for piping stress analysis. This project contains the static analysis of given piping system without structure and then it is again analyzed after combining with the structure. In this project report, the main outputs are of displacements, stresses and loads at the restrains. Pipeline is analyzed without structure and equipments. Further, structures and equipments are modeled and composite analysis is performed. From that, conclusions are derived for future reference.
