dc.description.abstract | The Neutronics Code, is used to analyze the transport of neutral particles. It also deals with transportation of secondary gamma rays emitted from neutron interactions. In Neutronics software one can generate simplified structures like cube, cylinder, sphere etc and calculations can be easily done. As user goes for more complex structures it is difficult to develop such geometries using Neutronics tool. It can be done using other third party software like CAD and FORTRON programs. IGEOSOFT (IGeoSoft-Indian Geometric Software for Neutronics) will provide a complete interface to integrate the capabilities of all and required transition modules between CAD and Neutronics which will reduce human efforts and generate an input file for Neutronics. To generate the input file of Neutronics one needs to write all the surfaces and planes which forms the geometry manually. Simple geometries are easy to describe but when it comes to complex geometries, either it is very time consuming process or nearly impossible for a layman to do that. Hence main objective of this project is to enhance the capacity of Neutronics code by incorporating more complex geometry and automate the manual process of generating input file for Neutronics. DemoSoft is the pre-requisite of Neutronics which will include reactor physics and coil profiling to get the conceptual design of nuclear reactor. Which inter will be used to get the dimensions and shaping of the components of reactor for the CAD modeling. IGeoSoft will act as a transition module from CAD to Neutronics. | en_US |
