Abstract: The purpose of this project is to design and develop the stacker for cloth rolls. A market survey carried out and analyzed the existing system in order to determine specification of newer system. The motion of system is directed by four motors. In which, one motor for each X, Y and Z direction control and last one for the rotation about Z axis. This system offers handling of Cloth rolls placed at 180 degree to each other. It has compatibility for accommodating more number of racks in Aisle captive nature of operation as well as adopting Aisle changing nature of operation with proper modification. This system will help to reduce the space required to store same number of cloth rolls compare to conventional system. This system finds better scope of utilization where item retrieval time to be reduced with the utilization of less manpower.
