Abstract: The project aims to determine the different types transfer mechanisms used for the transfer of the fabric used in the textile industry. Different possibilities are available for the purpose of transfer of the clip unit used in the stenter. It basically explores the way of transportation of the fabric in the dryer unit. The cloth, woven as well as non-woven after dying has to undergo the drying operation and it has to be hold from both ends. The process of drying is to be continuous and should meet the demands of the textile industry. The different types of possibilities like chain, belt, rope and infrared drying are explored and their use for the transfer of the fabric is thought of. The modal analysis of the whole stenter chain-clip assembly is carried out. The prediction of the natural frequencies is also done to know the dynamic behaviour of the system. The transverse vibrations of the stenter machine is found out. These modes of vibration can be useful to know the behaviour of the system at high velocities. If the vibration response exceeds and magnitude and frequency of vibrating increases, we have to limit the value of velocity.
