Abstract: The design of pressure vessels is an important and practical topic which has been explored for decades. Pressure vessels are containers for the containment of pressure either internal or external. The pressure vessel are use to store fluid that many undergo a change of state inside in case of the boiler or it may combine with other reagent as in chemical plants. Openings in pressure vessel plays vital role in stress concentration factor for nozzle or other accessories. In this dissertation parametric study of nozzle dimensions on stress concentration factor in pressure vessel for static loading has been carried out. Here, study of nozzle angle with a vertical vessel on stress concentration factor has also been studied. The model of different nozzle diameter and different angle with vertical vessel has been created in PRO-E software and analysis for the same has been carried out in ANSYS software. The parametric study has been completed by calculation of stress concentration factor of pressure vessel for different nozzle diameters and different angle with vertical vessel.
