Abstract: La0:5Ca0:5NiO3 catalyst was prepared by Sol-Gel method, Citrate method, Co-precipitation method and Reactive grinding method in the presence of nitrate-metal-ethylene glycol (EG) complex. Experimental results indicated that the adsorption kinetic data follow a pseudo-First-order rate for the reactive black 5 dye. The isotherm indicates that the Freundlich model ts the experimental data better than the Langmuir model. The La0:5Ca0:5NiO3 adsorbent showed very effective adsorption capacity towards reactive black 5 (RB5) in solution. Adsorbent prepared by Citrate method is high effective in dye Removal Experiment and adsorbent prepared by Reactive grinding method is low effective in dye Removal experiment. The adsorption studies were carried out at different pH values, dye concentrations, various catalyst dosages and contact time in experiments. The dye removal e ciency was decreased with increase in initial pH of dye solution and La0:5Ca0:5NiO3 prepared by Citrate method adsorbent exhibited good dye removal efficiency at acidic 1pH.
