In a series compensated transmission a.c network Sub Synchronous Resonance is accrues. This Sub Synchronous Resonance accurse because of energy exchange between electrical system and mechanical system also its frequency is less than the power frequency. Before 1971 the phenomena of sub synchronous resonance was not known. In 1970 at Mohave power plant in southern Nevada shaft breakdown accrued and 1971 the same phenomena accrued again in power system so power system engineers deeply analyze dynamic analysis and finalize this shaft is breaks because of Sub Synchronous Resonance[1].In this theses we have used series compensated a.c network and IEEE 2nd benchmark 9 bus system. With the help of MATLAB software Eigen value and frequency analysis is done. And sub synchronous resonance is mitigating with the help of VSC based back to back system used supplementary controller.en_US
