Abstract: | The thesis introduces the radio network analysis process and optimization for Wide- band Code Division Multiplexing (WCDMA) Radio Access Networks (RAN), as defined by 3G. Assessing the UMTS Terrestrial Radio Access Network (UTRAN) air interface by performing field drive tests will remain one of the major tasks during Universal Mobile Telecommunication System (UMTS) Radio Frequency (RF) Optimization. Service Measurement Based Optimization play a more and more significant role for network optimization and the result analysis. The primary RF Optimization objectives for the thesis are: The RF Drive Test Based Optimization is the primary optimization phase and is the focus of this thesis for analysis. Maximize the Coverage to improve Accessibility or Availability of the Network. Improve the Capacity for Integrity or Quality of the Network. Maximize reliability of handover for Better Quality of the network with mobile user. |
