dc.description.abstract | The Embedded Controller is used in electronics for controlling the parameters of signal conditioning units such as gain, filter frequency, etc. of various plasma diagnostics. It remotely controls the parameters from host PC using CAN protocol via USB. Present controller is based on microcontroller P80C592. The controller needs to be upgraded to ARM controller for better performance and resources. Project involves design and development of embedded controller with ARM processor, VHDL and LabView programming, study of ARM controller and its programming for the CAN interface. Using VHDL programming, the control signals and data are generated for the Electronics and Data Acquisition System. The LabVIEW is used to provide the user interface. It provides the facility to the user to select and write the parameter values and to view the received data. | en_US |
