dc.description.abstractRemote Handling and Robotics is a rapidly evolving technology. In the Tokamak, the human presence is forbidden during nominal and maintenance operations due to the high levels of radiation, temperature and vacuum. Intelligent Remote handling and Robotics system hence will play an important role in performing various tasks such as remote maintenance, Inspection and Material handling. Robots have used encoders, servo motors and many other sensors to ensure the robot reaches the desired destination. Vision technology can also be used to enhance the robot control system. Real time Generation of 3D CAD Model will generate CAD model of a system in three dimensions using Image Processing technology. Functional CAD model of a part or an object is sometimes not available than this system is useful for generating or redefining the objects and system will gives dimensions of an object. System uses multiple cameras with depth sensor to capture sequence of Images of an Object. System will get information about an object using Image sequences and generates 3D CAD model of an Object. Generated CAD model can be applied to systems where CAD model is initial requirement of a system is CAD model like robots for pick and place functionality, Synthetic viewing system, etc.en_US
