To achieve world class manufacturing system, Industrialists are continuously striving to increase the productivity by various approaches. In current competitive market, there should be flexible manufacturing system to meet global demand. For flexible manufacturing system there should be quick change over from one setup to another. To improve the productivity, first of all we have to measure it and find out the losses of production line. In this project investigation is conducted in bearing manufacturing company to increase the productivity by reducing setup time of bottleneck machines. Time and method study is used to determine the Non Value Added time in setting. Mathematical model is developed to find out the Overall Line Effectiveness. Factors affecting the less productivity are identified. Software is developed in Visual Basic to calculate OLE. One design is suggested for Quill Changing with analysis to reduce setup time. Conceptual design of Tilter is suggested to decrease the assembly packing time, reduce the fatigue and increase the safety.en_US
