Abstract: Basically, wireless sensor network is network of light weighted devices distributed in a large area. Here, the principle focus is on applications which monitored large area and make decisions from it, like multimedia systems. Multimedia systems cover applications like surveillance system, forest monitoring or tra c tracking systems etc. These systems are used for detecting people, vehicles or some objects to understand some suspicious behavior or abnormal activities to prevent from crime. In data communication, important routing protocols like GPSR, SPEED & MM- SPEED are very likely used in multimedia domain. These protocols have not considered some of the critical parameters like energy, which is crucial in sensor network. So, Here I am trying to consider those parameters & In SPEED, MMSPEED protocols, it consider one-hop neighborhood to make decisions but what if we consider n-hop neighborhood which is to be considered dynamically based on density of nodes deployed in the network & also some modification in packet dropping scenario may improve the performance of protocol.
