dc.description.abstract"Cloud computing" is a technology that is used widely among all the users as it pro- vide the services and usage over the internet.Among all the services, data storage service is the main service as the data is stored in the cloud which reside on the cloud server and hence it is necessary to protect data from attacking. All Cloud Service Providers assures to protect the information stored but its very chal- lenging to make the data secured. There are some data security issues still need to be resolved. Very less research has been done to guarantee the security of Service Level Agreement(SLAs). To overcome this,a security mechanism has been proposed on the virtual machine and cloud server. To provide security to SLA,digital signature is applied on the SLA.To pro- vide security to data,a security architecture and algorithm is proposed. The algorithm is the modi ed advanced encryption standard which makes some changes in the shift rows bits of the original algorithm and also applies permutation in the algorithm. This assures security to data residing on the cloud.en_US
