Abstract: Many of the audio and video standards which are used by the latest multimedia technologies require a considerable amount of processing, and consequently require performance levels beyond the capabilities of general purpose processors. Multicore processors can be used to provide increased processing power, but they require enhanced audio driver software that is capable of taking full advantage of the facilities provided by the hardware. In Audio Drivers Team of ST Microelectronics different types of audio codex are checked and testing work is done. There are many support tools provided for that like Gerrit, MATB, HaReSh, Bugzilla,Git etc.. MATB and HaReSh are new emerging tools for testing. Different bugs are locked and tickets are generated for it by Bugzilla tool. GIT tool is a version control tool which is used to publish the new tags of respected changes. There are mainly two types of testing work is done. First is MS12 Testing and secondly Stream testing. In MS12 testing there are two types of testing, CIDK testing and IIDK testing. CIDK testing is done to test the different types of codex. IIDK testing is done with integration of all the codex. New Testplans for CIDK and IIDK testings have been added in MATB and HaReSh test framework. Results of testcases of different codex are maintained in all the baseline of SDK2. Testing work is done in both legacy test framework and in MATB and HaReSh test framework. To test with MATB and HaReSh, compared to legacy test framework is more advantageous. It is because we can share our report with everyone and also to analyses the logs and report are easier. In this report how to add new components in Test framework and how to do setup for these components are also described.
