Abstract: | In India where agriculture is the base of the economy, till date of the area where lands is very fertile but due to the unavailability of the electric supply irrigation is almost impossible. The applications of solar pump inverter includes agricultural irrigation, animal husbandry, desert control, domestic water(ground water), engineering industry, forestry irrigation, resorts, tourist sites, waste water treatment and many others. The solar pump inverters is an equipment, which meets all the points related to the concept of energy conservation, low carbon and environmental protection for improv- ing the living standards in areas where the availability of electricity is less. Solar pump inverter is a green product which works on sunlight energy and can operate on a wide range. This solar product demands less maintenance cost, in comparison to conventional AC pump systems. This project focuses on development of a photovoltaic inverter which can be used for irrigation and other off-grid application purpose to the place where load shedding is frequent and electricity is not available as and when required. The major task in this project involves development of MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) algorithm, control of inverter and the efficiency. The inverter will be used for off-grid purpose and it should obey the standards given by utility companies. This standard deals with issues like IP protection, IEC standards, MNRE norms and so on. A rigorous analysis will be carried out using PSIM and simulation verification will be done. The hardware will be developed taking into consideration high reliability, cost effectiveness and high efficiency. |
