Abstract: | Voltage Source Inverters (VSI) used for generating sinusoidal fundamental voltage with variable frequency and voltage can be either voltage controlled or current controlled. Current controlled pulse width modulated voltage source inverters are preferred for high performance ac drives. Among the different current-controlled PWM techniques, hysteresis band current controlled PWM method is popularly used be- cause of its integral simplicity and fast dynamic reaction, but the major retreats linked with conventional hysteresis controller based PWM techniques are limit-cycle oscillations, non optimum current ripple and random switching of voltage vectors. For high speed drive systems hysteresis current control is one of the most simplistic techniques used to control the magnitude and phase angle of three phase motor currents. These techniques have acquired an increasing importance with the widespread application of VSI in high performance application, such as AC drives, AC power supplies and active filters, where fast response and high accuracy are needed. Hysteresis current controllers, utilize hysteresis band in comparing load currents to the references. Hysteresis current controllers have the advantage of simplicity and robustness, but the converters switching frequency largely depends on the load parameters. The control scheme will be modeled for the drive system and the system configuration will be studied and simulated in MATLAB/SIMULINK. The control algorithm will be code with the help of Arm cortex processors and subsequently the switching signals will be obtained by means of current regulation for single phase & three phase voltage source inverter(VSI).The performance analysis will be carried out at different loading conditions. |
