Offsetting of non-planer curve is widely used in engineering applications such as die face geometry creation, tool path generations, car body design. Objective of this dissertation is to enhance the existing functionality in CAD software NX. Currently available functionality has some limitations. User is not able to parameterize the output curve. Apart from that Associativity and dynamic preview is also not available. Associativity is to associate the output cure with the input one. Dynamic preview is to see the preview at dynamically on screen.Enhanced offset 3D Curve feature will have several options to parameterize the output curve. By selecting proper curve fitting method and using proper parameters user will be able to get the desired output. Similarly for the associativity and the preview there will be toggle, which user can use as per requirement. This enhancement would improve the productivity and usability of Part Modeling, which is a product of Siemens-NX. Also, it will maintain the robustness and consistency across its various features. It also ensures that preexisting functionality does not fail.en_US
