The purpose of this project is to design the Rotating fixture to shift the End-Shield which is the part of the nuclear power plant from L&T Hazira to its respective power plant safely. This End-Shield weigh approximately 116 Tons, so very much precise decision is required for designing the rotating fixture. The logistic people had made a survey in which they found that it is nearly impossible to shift the End-Shield on normal stationary fixture as there are many obstructions on the road. So, it has been decided to use the rotating fixture for the transportation. This Rotating fixture can rotate up to 90° whenever required. It is having the facility of hydraulic cylinders, so that it can be raised or lowered whenever required to create the ground clearance during rotation. With the help of this Rotating fixture, it can be shifted safely under wires, under bridges and many other obstructions. The design calculation of all the components of the fixture have been performed. FE analysis of the fixture has been carried out in static as well as when it will be rotated through 90°. For irregular road condition, modal analysis, harmonic analysis have been carried out. Finally, the FEA results obtained are compared to the analytical solution.en_US
