This work focus on the experimental analysis of the software defined networking based load balancing and its benefits over the existing algorithms. The conventional network approach would be done through the human intervention and it is in the hardware box.The quality of service is the main aspect of the networking for efficient delivery of services to clients. The traditional network architectures are ill-suited to meet the requirements of todays IT industry and end users to provide the better quality of ser- vices in real time network environment. The proposed Software Defined Networking (SDN) paradigm explores the network service provisioning and service level agree- ment(SLA) better than the conventional networking.Current, network load-balancers are expensive hardware devices operating at the core networks. The proposed SDN based load balancing method performs better in realtime network. This work empha- sis on SDN based dynamic server load based load balancing. The proposed algorithm select the least loaded server from the server pool and redirect the client request to optimal server. It minimizes the request servicing time and increase the response time than the conventional load balancing methods like Random and Round Robin. We have emulated the proposed work on Mininet emulator using POX controller. SDN load-balancers are able to oscillate between different load-balancing algorithms depending on real-time network traffic analysis. The SDN controller provides the quality of service provisioning in network services through dynamic load balancing.en_US
