Abstract: Synthesis of benzimidazole is done using suitable polymer support mainly PEG by using liquid phase combinatorial chemistry. This approach has been used to synthesis of library of chemical moieties. Benzimidazole derivatives are the structural isostere of the naturally occurring nucleotides and thus it has been exploited over years as potent anti-cancer compounds. Aromatase enzyme is responsible for conversion of androgens to estrogen and thus increase in level of estrogen is responsible for breast cancer in women. Also breast cancer is common cause of death world-wide in female .Thus use of benzimidazole as aromatase enzyme inhibitor may reduce the risk of breast cancer development in women.
