Abstract: Word sense disambiguation is like a model which assigns correct sense to words having multiple meaning as per the context in which they occur. It requires pre-processing like stop-words removal, generation of word vector, POS tagging. One of the main application of this disambiguation is in machine translation and information extraction to get desired output. In this thesis all the approaches are discussed and accuracy and efficiency of Hyperlex technique of unsupervised approach is the main aim of this dissertation. The algorithm is very accurate but the scalability is the issue. Easy adaptability with high accuracy is motive.
