Abstract: Autonomous Moblie robots have been extensively used for conducting the reconnaissance of those areas which are still out of reach of humans or the ones which are very hardly accessible.Hence, development of these types of robots is a very critical task at hand . Therefore, using them for various purposes involves a very important task and that is of making a robot know of it's location. The issues of localisation and the techniques that will be deployed for localisation are discussed here. Also the basic control and mechanical aspects which are utilised in developing the robot are discussed in this report.
