Major problem the world is facing today is environmental pollution. In the construction industry mainly the production of Portland cement causes the emission of pollutants which results in environmental pollution. We can re- duce the pollution effect on environment, by increasing the usage of industrial by-products in our construction industry. Geopolymer concrete is one such present study. To produce the geopolymer concrete the Portland cement is fully replaced with GGBFS(Ground granulated blast furnace slag) and alka- line liquids are used for the binding of materials. The alkaline liquids used in this study for the polymerization are solutions of sodium hydroxide (NaOH) and sodium silicate (Na2SiO3). An attempt has been made to study performance of Geopolymer Concrete for various Strength and durability tests and its comparison with control concrete. M-25 grade of concrete was chosen for the study. Mix design of GGBFS based Geopolymer concrete is done and corresponding tests for its verification has been carried out. Durability studies is to be car- ried out for both geopolymer concrete and normal concrete and comparison of results will be done. RCC beam element of Geopolymer concrete have been cast and corresponding results have been found out.en_US
