dc.description.abstractThe objective of the project is to make detailed studies on the developing a table top Tokamak .Researches in controlled thermonuclear synthesis are actively conducted in many countries all over the world. The aim of the program is to build the research device to study plasma position, shape and current control problems in the tokamak, as well as to assist the scientific and educational programs on various plasma physics problems. The project work involves the complete design including Electromagnetic & structural design of the machine with pulsed magnets with a temperature of about 200 eV for a confinement time of about few milliseconds using a capacitor discharge. From literature survey, the design for Table Top Tokomak can be established after study the different existing tokamak. According to this design methodology some plasma parameter output can be obtained. From these plasma parameters the magnetic coil like toroidal coil , ohmic transformer coil , poloidal coil etc..which is used for confining plasma in tokamak has been designed. Power Supply of Different magnetic coils of Table Tokamak has been designed. Simulation of the power supply in PSCAD Software has also been done. Experiments have been done on Central Solenoid Coil and Toroidal Field Coil for Analysis the characteristic of current ,voltage and Pulse width .Also Experiment has been done on central solenoid coil with vacuum vessel and central solenoid coil with isolator in Vacuum vessel. These Experiments are done only for 1.5 KV supply. One Another Experiment on 0.22T coil With single outer toroidal shaped turn coil for the induced current in single turn coil is 7.01 A which is almost near to the ANSYS result 7.21 A. For design of Table Top tokamak, accurate Electromagnetic Analysis & Couple field Analysis is required .These is done by the ANSYS , PSCAD ,IES etc... Simulation has been done on Central solenoid Coil experiment and Toroidal field Coils in PSCAD Software. Comparison of theoretical result and Simulation has been done. For Experiment of central solenoid coil with two isolator and without isolator in vacuum vessel do the Eddy current analysis in ANSYS FEA Package. Comparison of result of both experiment result and E.mag analysis result has been got which gives 10%-15% error.en
