dc.description.abstract | Modern cryptographic techniques involve best practices to encrypt data that is being communicated. Concurrently, techniques for attacking these ciphers are also developed. When such attacks are hardware based, the entire hardware implementation of the cipher becomes ine efective. Here, we present a modification in the hardware implementation of ciphers that are based on Linear Feedback Shift Registers (LFSRs). This modification includes three different parallel programming approaches in software implementation of hardware based ciphers and testing their data rate and efficiency. The ciphers chosen for this purpose are A5/1, ZUC 1.6, GRAIN v1 and E0. | en_US |
