Abstract: WebGen is platform on which library configuration are installed to enable customers to generate memory schematics of desired type and configurations. This configuration in- cludes opconds of a memory , library parameters and cuts. The job assigned to me is the optimization of WebGen,which covers Analysis of the problem statement ( includes de- bugging, scripting for checking the logs,Database handling,Deployment of code on Server ) , Finding the root cause of the problem , Devising the maximum possible solution , selecting one optimal solution , implementation and Testing. My job was to develop and optimize the WebGen so that ST memory teams all over the world have the perfect ser- vice available for their memory block fabrications.Apart from this optimization problems it includes disk and server issues which require linux skills , scripting issues which require new script to be develop in either of Shell/perl/tcl OR need to modify the existing scripts, complex plugins installation issues in Windows/Linux. Research work is carried along with the development & optimization for the performance enhancement of the WebGen.
