Abstract: BIOS stands for Basic Input/output System. BIOS is a "read only" memory, which consists of low-level software that controls the system hardware and acts as an interface between the operating system and the hardware. The system BIOS is a ROM chip on the motherboard used during the startup routine (boot process) to check out the system and prepare to run the hardware. Today, Many New processors are getting released in a shot span of time and each one requires a boot/BIOS code to initialize it which is specific to processors architecture. So, it is mandatory to make BIOS code ready in a short span improve the customer experience. As engineers need to trace the changes for a new design and make changes in the code, it takes a lot of time and needs lot of manual effort which is also a error prone. So, Goal is to develop a mechanism which generates BIOS code automatically which in turn reduces Human effort and thereby Human errors. And generated code allows users to reuse firmware code ow across different segments.
