In today's challenging scenario, the substation is becoming important element to meet the requirements of end users successfully and economically. This project represents cost comparison and electrical design of 765 KV/400 kV AIS, GIS and hybrid substation. Hybrid substation is the combination of air insulated substation (AIS) and gas insulated substation (GIS). The electrical design includes single line diagram, protection single line diagram, substation plan layout and sectional elevation, erection key diagram, Control room layout, direct stroke lightning protection diagram, substation earthing, busbar sizing, short circuit force calculation, battery sizing calculation, CT Sizing, AC & DC Distribution board, illumination and Bills of material. The design diagram is prepared in AutoCAD-2015 software and the detailed design calculation is performed. At the end cost comparision based on design is analysed for AIS, GIS and hybrid substation.en_US
