Abstract: | In the present scenario of MCCB of 100 A frame the present ultimate breaking capacity of 36 kA it has to be increased to 50 kA .This will be achieved by doing changes in the present system and present components with the same structure available volume cannot be increased its the prime concern. Arc chute design is to be changed accordingly to decrease the arc splitting time and so that low let through energy will be produced .And new contact spring to be designed accordingly. |
