dc.description.abstractThe world of technology is surrounded by signals and real life signals are analog signals. To process or modify or store analog signals is a tiresome work. Digital signal processing technology makes computer to understand type of data like signal generated by our heart and brain, Video encoding and decoding, fingerprint biometrics, image processing, audio processing, High performance computing etc. Digital Signal Processors are specialized micro-processors which has inbuilt Multiply and accumulation unit, barrel shifter, floating point and fixed point hardware support. Therefore DSP is capable of doing filtering, fast mathematical manipulation, high speed arithmetic and logical calculations, execute complex mathematics in parallel, Multiply and accumulations operations, time or frequency transformations etc. In this project, we have used low cost STM32F030 value line micro-controller. This controller is not as much powerful as DSP processors but the applications which requires less number of computations at low sampling frequency then STM32F030 controller can manage to perform computations. The main task of STM32F030 micro-controller is to do filtering in real-time, so it has to complete all the operations and calculations of each samples before the next sample comes. In this thesis, the Digital bi-quad band pass filter and Digital IIR linear phase low pass filter are used. Now the DSP with Real time embedded applications makes embedded system more versatile. To design and develop such system which is also low cost is the inspirational plus tedious task. For all DSP applications which mentioned in this thesis are designed using STM32F30 low cost value line micro-controller. The accelerating development of technologies never end at just DSP and embedded system so now the competition begins for the wireless technology which are of the low cost and required low data rate. In this thesis, the low data rate application like Low cost audio based wireless remote control is described in detail. Here in this application, audio play a vital role as a low cost and low data rate communication parameter. Moreover as per the market requirements, we have designed the solar street light which can be monitor and control using the GPRS and SMS features of GSM technology. The practical results, waveforms, detailed technical diagrams, implementations are clearly mentioned.en_US
