Continuous and uninterrupted electrical power supply is a demand of organizations for higher production rate in these competitive and fast growing market. Circuit breakers are the devices which ensure safety of high end machineries from short circuit of overload of electrical supply Continuous and uninterrupted electrical power supply is a demand of organizations for higher production rate in these competitive and fast growing market. Circuit breakers are the devices which ensure safety of high end machineries from short circuit of overload of electrical supply. Draw out type ACBs are taken into connected, test, isolate and maintenance conditions and in all these conditions safety of breakers and humans are utmost priority. For the safe operation at every conditions, locking systems are very essential, in particular, maintenance condition in which breakers are unmounted from rail for overhauling and also during remounting it on rails after overhauling. The objective of the present work is to design a low cost locking systems for draw-out type air circuit breaker with minimum of changes in existing system. It is also desired to have auto locking during draw-out operation but unlocking can be done only by human intervention.en_US
