There are lot of new advancements in packaging industry due to demand of various shape, size & transportation requirements. This thesis deals with the process of designing gift wrapping machine that is of small size. It aims at developing a machine which is cost effective and also helps industries for improving the productivity by the innovative design. The proposed design of machine is capable of handling various sizes of gift box which is a novelty added in the proposed design. In the process of designing of wrapping machine various concepts for wrapping are developed. These concepts consist of different mechanisms for operations like folding of plastic gift paper, plastic wrapper cutting mechanism, wrapping paper folding mechanism, and taping applicator are developed. All mechanisms are developed and synchronized with each other so as to achieve our task. For making reconfigurable machine additional mechanisms are developed which are length and width sliding mechanisms both the mechanisms can be adjusted by the handles provided. The proposed design of gift wrapping machine is having wrapping efficiency higher than manual wrapping method.en_US
