dc.description.abstractThe purpose of the present study was to develop cream base foot care preparation with objectives to develop a non-greasy cream having an effective and safe formula and also stable and good anti-bacterial activity against most common foot problems like crack heel, burning of soles and dryness of feet. Gardenia gummifera is a well-known shrub for its gum resins with gardenin, well reported for its anti-fungal and wound healing activity. Bees wax, Olive oil and Kokum butter was added for soothing effect and supports healing process. Tea tree oil added for its antifungal effect and it also relax foot. Menthol crystals also added for providing excellent cooling effect against problem of burning soles. The prepared Foot care cream was subjected for evaluation like pH, moisture content, texture and anti-bacterial study. Cream was also evaluated on volunteers who are having foot problems. Result shows significant improvement in foot problems.en_US
