Computer applications, categorized as compute intensive tasks needs tons of processing power. For example, Meteorology programs and other exploratory or scientific applications. To process and execute this kind of high computational tasks, enormous measure of resources is required. For such situation, Cloud computing is a superior and smart approach for executing this undertakings. The benefits of cloud computing can also be availed for incorporating intelligence in utilization of this enormous resources. At present, Cloud Service Providers convey resources in traditional way by using various scheduling techniques additionally with manual intervention for selecting required resources, which sometimes degrades the resource usage performance. Research work proposed in this paper demonstrates the results obtained after implementation of compute intensive tasks over Cloud, using ontology based intelligent decision making capability applied for optimization of resource utilization. This sort of cloud which is proposed with adaptive and smart decision making capability is called ’Semantic Cloud’, which deals with the semantic allotment of resources for adaptive creation of virtual machines to deploy compute-intensive tasks or applications, as now-a-days the automation has been needed for making cloud resources utilization potent.en_US
